Fellow Practitioner Issue 258 Dated 12 June 2015

We don't seem to be getting accurate information from the PGD Board but no matter what the truth is, this year the Board are consulting about licensing and registration so you need to have your say and make recommendations for improvements.

A lot has happened in the last decade with the requirements for licensing and registration. Terms and conditions have been imposed such as continuing professional development (CPD), and supervision but these really are only items that support the qualification that tradespeople in the industry should aspire to.

Are the doors the same as the ones the Board installed to protect staff from tradespeople?  I hope the industry didn't pay that amount for the doors the Board installed.

Hi guys, all the time the board are shagging around with these endless consultations, all it does is guarantee their cushy well paid jobs. If they think 'plum/gas/drainage' work is 'rocket science' then why are our trades not paid like 'rocket scientists' ?, cheers
