Title: Plumbing in Brisbane
Post by: mark3166 on September 10, 2012, 01:12:31 PM
Hi,  have any of you guys on here ever been over to work in Brisbane as a plumber, I'll be coming out of my time next year and wish to go and work in Aussie for a while. I believe it's pretty straightforward. What I wanted to know was, I am not actually a gas fitter so do you think I'd struggle to get work as a plumber only? Thanks

You should be ok not being a gas fitter but from what ive been told is that theres not alot of work going on in brisbane.
before you head over contact the queensland plumbers board and organise your regestration it dirt cheap over there compared to here my northern territory licence cost about $60 for 3 years

Oh so I could probably organize my Aussie registration from here? That would make life easier

I did mine from here a couple of years ago  but unlike here you get a licence per state not all of aussie so if you wanted to do work in NT or NSW you need to get a regestration there also but once you are regestered there its pretty easy to get the extra ones when you need to.
