what xmas call outs did you have?

well tomorrow we are officially back too work ! ha-ha another tui bill board,  ::)

we had countless call outs over the break from burst water pipes,to simple flick a switch resets, what did you all have? any funny ones? any one get a customer say " oh thank you for coming out on your holiday here is a  extra 20 go buy ya self a beer" ?

i had one that was really funny, a call from a man saying he had a leaking pipe and the ceiling down stairs was sagging.... i get to the house and look for a leak.....no leaks??? ::) then i start to ask questions....  turns out the wife was listening and came out to own up ! ......" oh do you think if i floaded the sink last week that may have been why the ceiling down stairs has sagged?" ......the look on her husbands face was pricless!! :D

We had a few - blocked drains, a couple of burst water mains, three no hot waters on Infinity's (one stuffed, one with empty LPG bottles :) and one with a faulty regulator on the LPG bottles, several gas turn ons and some disconnects, a couple of people wanting quotes for new bathrooms (on the day after Boxing Day!), blocked sinks, stuffed wastemasters.  None on Christmas Day, four on Boxing Day, New Year's Eve had a few and the others peppered in between.  Nothing funny to report - except the empty LPG bottles - again a face like a slapped arse when they realised that they would have to pay to have the LPG bottles filled AND the callout cost.

Just a couple of burst pipes for me, one simple one not so simple.
 I  just cant help to answer the phone when it rings....

Had several calls but only one agreed to pay the holiday call-out fee.  :-\  No hot water / Failed HWC thermostat
