hi guys, i am trying to source 2 tools that a workmate of mine got in aussie several years ago, i have tried sourcing them from nz plumbing merchants, but no one knows what i am talking about. the first tool is an easy out(pipe extractor) for 1/2 inch aussie pipe, about half way down the shank it has a small disc(shaped like a half moon)that spins around on the shank to give even greater grip on the pipe to be removed, also having this disc it covers two pipe sizes, the second tool is a special tappit tool, it looks like a tube which you place over the end of the tappit to be hammered, and the hammering takes place back where you hold the tool, its way easier than trying to hold onto a slotted screwdriver that keeps on slipping of the tappit head, so if any one can tell me where i can source these tools i would greatly appriciate it.

Try contacting Sulco Tools in Wiri, I used to work for them and we used to sell something similar to what you describe.

Their number is 0800 800 488
I only know enough to know I don't know enough of what I need to know enough of...

Yes on the flat head tappet thing ...try using your 15/20mm copper drift the big flat head is great for drifting in those nylon and metal anchors

All plumbing worlds in auckland sell easy outs I have one myself there about 70 bucks though pretty pricey

the tool that you have described sounds like one that is made by  snap on tools .  for removing nippling.

Hi,

I reckon that tool you wanted for the tapins is a Nail Holder. Sold over here to hold the bracket nail when you are putting up spouting brackets but also works well to drive in Nylon tapins the outer part holds the nylon the inner part drives in the nail

It is about 250mm long, silver and as a foam grip on one end.

Does the first one you're talking about look like that?
