PGDB Members doing such a good job they are re-appointed
« on: September 13, 2013, 01:43:06 PM »
Well - every dog has its day - seems like the Minister doesn't want to call for nominations for fresh thinking on the Board and has simply chosen to re-appoint and re-cycle those that are doing such a sterling job that the RRC, the Ombudsman and the OAG has to comment on it - YEAH RIGHT.   ???

Press Release:

Maurice Williamson
13 September, 2013
Reappointments to Plumbers Board
Building and Construction Minister Maurice Williamson today announced two reappointments to the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board.
Peter Jackson and William Irvine have been reappointed for three year terms.
“Mr Jackson, who is registered as a certifying plumber, gasfitter and drainlayer, is the current deputy chair of the Board and its appointed representative to the World Plumbing Council.
“Mr Irvine is registered as a certifying drainlayer and currently works as an educator and consultant. He is the former Technical Advisor of the Building Research Association of New Zealand.
“The contribution of both men has been invaluable to the Board, and it will continue to benefit through their continued efforts,” Mr Williamson says.
The Board is a statutory body established under the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Act 2006. The Board is responsible for administering the registration and licensing systems of plumbers, gasfitters and drainlayers and in doing so, is responsible for setting the minimum standards for registration and ensuring persons carrying out regulated work are competent to do so

Isn't this what the Federation called Industrial Exclusion. That tosser Williamson thinks he knows it all and thinks he can just walk all over everyone to get his way.

I thought the National Government was going away from heavy handed regulation. Well the actions in the last 6 months has proved that is all bullshit. They are moving us into regulation dominated by dictatorship of people who are so dumb they would be lucky to slap their arse with both hands.

All the shit they say and write is for the people out there that believe that people get into government and positions of authority by being smart - well they are wrong - they get there by bullshitting and living off others peoples hard work.

Williamson and Bickers don't like being proved wrong so they are trying top force us to do what they want but all they are doing is forcing us to appose them. I'd love to force my size 10 boots up their bureaucratic arses, WANKERS.
