It’s getting like “Rocky” - a change in faces but no change in the story line.

Happy reading

hi guys, What does an industry do when words aren’t enough?
What action do we have to take to get our point across?
Do we strike, do we not pay our license fees and disciplinary levy, do we revolt, do we organize a march or protest, or  do we sit back and do nothing like others – what do we do?
....Sabotage and violence spring to mind!!!  Molotov cocktails and rocks behind every curtain, (Jokerman Bob Dylan),cheers

I think a good start would to be is not to gain your correct CPD points and state to the govt that the buck stops here!

If  700-800 of the countrys competant tradesman all went on holiday at the same time the country and the rebuild of christchurch would be stiffled to a snales pace...we do the dirty work of the country and we are treated as OUTCASTE people because we look after the shit end of  society we are never talked about like firemen yet without our traning and hard sweat firemen would have nothing to stand on!

You all know the going ...3 minutes without air and you die...3 days without potable water and you die, 3 weeks without food and you die

Our trade is crucial to human life and remember that  rome only existed because of its sewer system and aqua ducts!

it seems like the ball has firmley been placed in our court people and the future of this industry is to be taken from our  hands unless we band togeather as a band of brothers and show this and any establishment that we P,G,D are more important to this Country than they realise!!!

Rember that any area with population needs us to live normal lives and if a large portion of us went on holiday at the same time the country would suffer and those remaning would not be able to cope with the workload and would bring this govt to its knees!

Keep strong people lets for once back ourselfs and show those at the top that THIS IS OUR LINE IN THE SAND!!!

How about approaching your local MP and asking them to invite Maurice Williamson to a meeting in your electorate to meet the local plumbers, gasfitters and drainlayers?  He got the message in Napier - let him get the message around the country.  It is an election year.  This is the best time to get your point across.   If you follow the example of the guys in Hawkes Bay, group together locally and then put some pressure on your local MP to get Williamson to front - this will give you an opportunity to put the reality of the situation to him.  I don't think he's getting the true story from his advisors about exactly what is happening on the ground around the decisions the PGDB are making.
Have you learned lessons only of those who admired you, and were tender with you, and stood aside for you?  Have you not learned great lessons from those who braced themselves against you, and disputed the passage with you?  (Walt Whitman 1819-1891)  American Poet
