Fellow Practitioner Issue 217 Dated 1 August 2014
« on: August 01, 2014, 06:04:14 AM »
The Boards perception of them having credibility differs from the Federations.  The Boards seems to be based on assumptions where the Federations is based on fact.

Try calling the Prime Minister as a witness as it looks like years of hard work excuses breaking the law.

Things you need to know before this years fees review.

Where is the fairness for the industry? I have the perception that this is just corruption at its best.

I really don't see any benefit in being in this so called "Regulated Industry".  If a Registrar (office manager) can get paid quarter of a million dollars a year for shuffling paper can causing problems then why can we get paid the same for protecting the public.

The regulation of our industry is penalising the honest to benefit the regulators and governments wonder why people get pissed off and protest occurs.

There is no fairness Watchdog, those that rule do as they please financed by us and large German people......and those that pay for this gravy train, do so through the nose and in the currency of their businesses and reputations built up with their own hands.

A certain MP who can't remember flying into a giant mansion with African animal statues to be greeted by a giant German gentlemen with a very memorable name and persona, also can't recall receiving $50,000......well he gets to adduce (add after trial) "irrefutable evidence" for his appeal. To clear his name.

I on the other hand..... got set up and framed, can prove I was set up, can show who set me up....but as a lowly tradesman (who enable these cocks to be able to take a shit and drink fresh water and live in their flash houses which as tradesman build) can't because the system is set up that way...I could lay a complaint, but the complaint system doesn't allow that either.......Democracy at its finest.

If it can happen once it can happen again, are you going to wait until the wolf is at your door, or do something now as a group....the Federation are our best hope, these clowns got to go.
You can't choose who you are.....but you are the sum of your choices.......

Badger that's what I say, the honest get penalised to support the dishonest.  I heard Bill English accuse the Labour Party of identifying the problems but not coming up with solutions. Isn't the Government like the Board where nothing is done until the probelm is identified and then they lay the blame for the probelm on the complainant.

Look at the Federation where they identified the probelm with the fees and levies and CPD to the Board and were basically told to piss off. The same happened with the Regulations Review Committee who told the Federation to piss off and in the end the Ombudsman took action and then the Minister blames a group of malcontents and the legislation.

I see the new Minister Nick Smith wants solutions well here are a couple;
  • Hold the Board accountable
Appoint people who want to help the industry and the public not people who just want to be on a Board.
    Listen to the industry

Totally mate,

I don't think the present "sweep it under the carpet" policy will work, just makes for lumpy carpets that will trip you up later.

To ignore history and protect the guilty.... only empowers the future wankers who think they can act with impunity and get away with it, they do it because history tells them so......we need a new history for them to contemplate before they act like twats.

Look at the people who had the deciding swing votes on our plight...one is a convicted criminal with amnesia, one likes to stick up for a Chinese wife beater and had to resign after being seen to have applied influence to the police and another didn't have the numbers for a "real and legal" political party....

Nice and fair people you can really look up to.....really?
