Title: External 'plastic' pipe
Post by: therealvw on January 22, 2012, 04:38:37 PM
HI all.
New to the forum.
I'm normally OK at tackling re-joining pipes but for this one I am looking for some advice.
We have a pvc or plastic grey pipe that runs into the house, there is a joint on this pipe and that joint has started to leak. We think it has been caught and tugged when we had some scaffolding up over the festive season.
Is this a repair that is OK for a non tradesman to do or does it have to be approved / repaired by a registered plumber?

ALSO, can anyone recommend a reliable plumber for the North Shore?

Cheers.

Ian

Sounds like your going to do it anyway....but you should always get the right tradesperson to do the job right...yes get a real plumber and anyone who is certified on the shore should be ok to do the job. im around st helliers...i can come to look if you want but the truth is it will be cheeper to get a local firm to pay a visit or any larger auckland wide firm will do but check rates and any vechicle charge before...sounds like any where from a $80-$150 job depending on what needs to be done...good luck.
