 HI plumber
i just looked at these standards and feel that they are lacking what about a let by test before the soundness test otherwise what if the gas isolation valve was not working properly and thus letting by gas are you telling me there is no test for this how incompetant this system is , I spoke to trainee on a gas training course who confirmed that this is not taught,as for smoke and spilage test on gas flues, the people who write these standards need to do proper training themselves i can suggest gas safety training courses in the uk. when dealing with gas fires /all appliances the number 1 rule is always refer to manufacterers instructions as they no more about gas and have to offer a garentees after the fitter installs it I could go on thanks JD
