“The increase in the number of candidates
passing the Board’s examinations last year is
now translating to an increase in the number of
applicants seeking Board registration this year.
And this increase seems set to continue this
year with 680 people enrolled to sit the Board’s
examinations in June, up from the expected 350
people.

With increasing numbers of people entering the
trade, the industry will be in a good position to address the predicted construction bubble caused by the Christchurch earthquake, the leaky homes enquiry and the anticipated economic recovery”.

What a complete crock of crap this comment is the reason why there is a surge in applications is because for the last so many years the board had made the exams so stupidly hard to pass that many did not even waste there time trying to sit those anal exams of the past...NOW that word has got out that the exams are more realistic and based more on the day to day work that we face we see a huge influx of people wanting to sit there rego exam i know 3 people that are going to sit theres now they hear that its a real exam and not the full on techincal papers of the past and this is the reason why they didnt bother sitting the exam in the past.

Cheers for doing the news letters wal they are always a good read.
