Title: Licence Fees
Post by: foggy on September 11, 2010, 09:49:10 PM
With the increase in our licence fees this year i've come to the conclusion i should have been a dentist.
If you have one licence $366.00  two $466.00  three $566.00 and according to our wonderful board it reflects the true cost.
Now to be registered as a dentist the annual fee is $750.00
So o.k it's a bit more than we pay but have you ever met someone in our trade that earns anything like a dentist's wage?
Someone's having a f##kin laugh!

Ade the idea is to take your indignation and put it in a letter to the PGDB, The Minister of Building and Housing and the Chair of the PGDB.  While you're at it you could also put a compliant in to the Regulations Review Authority.  Good on you for posting here, but follow it through.  This is the only way we will see change - we have to follow through with things and put pen to paper.  Good luck!

With regards to my post on the cost of license fees, thought I'd just add that electricians who do earn similar money to us only pay $93.00 per year.
And i thought you had to wear a mask and ride a horse to commit highway robbery!
