hi wal, yes why not what are the details can you post them so we can all make a decition. I think the prime minister needs to speak to his minister of building and construction as he has sat on his hands for too long now, the last letter i got from the ministers office stated that there would be a small increase in the disciplinary levy, well if that was a small increase i don`t know what a big increase would be, i will be questioning the minister about this 'small increase', haven`t seen much opposition to increasing fees yet, cheers

Hi Wal what a refreshing change to see some one standing up to the board i am based in south canterbury and am a uk qualified plumber i know quite a few plumbers here who are not happy with the attitude that they have. What i believe you need without being to militant is a plumbers union who we all can refer to and who will demand answers and the desired change required . After all without plumbers there would be no board .We as a whole can change the future of plumbing in NZ ,so what ever i and my friends can do please let me know. Regards brian

Hi Everyone
I've researched unions and as an industry we can't form one as government rules do not permit employees and employers to be in the same group and basically employers can't be in a union. We are looking at forming an association of some kind but it all depends on numbers so the more people we have register their interest with us the closer we will get to forming a helpful group. Get on to everyone you know and get them to contact me at wal.gordon@xtra.co.nz.

hi Wal, guys, issue six was great, totally agree with paul`s point of view. Does anybody know if apprentices are told of what is in store for them after doing thier apprenticeship, if i had been told of the ongoing work/study/time/costs involved i`m sure that i would have been looking for another line of work. Anyone who has not recieved Wal`s news letters just drop him a line on:- wal.gordon@xtra.co.nz. he`s going the extra mile for us all, cheers
