Title: Hot Water Pressure Problem
Post by: hills13 on May 11, 2010, 09:00:56 PM
Hi,

My cold water tap works fine and I have done a testing to fill a 9 litre bucket in 30 seconds (by memory) however as soon as I turn the hot tap on i loose most of the water pressure.

This happens to all hot water taps (kitchen, shower, bathroom etc).

What would be the problem here and how would I fix it?

Thanks

Can someone else please help :-)

Does the same thing happen if you open 2 cold water taps? Does it happen all through the house? Typical reason for pressure drop like that is a blockage. The blockage only allowing so many litres of water to pass through. Check any filters you have in line. Clean them. Also would help knowing what pressure you have (with all the taps closed). If you have mains pressure, note if the water starts of fast, then slows down. This is another indication of a blockage. Finally, hows the water heated?

Hope this helps
