Title: How a PGDB examination paper is set
Post by: Plumber on January 27, 2010, 07:13:05 AM: Have a look at the attached PDF file, I found this to be very interesting.

"The subject is relevant and taught in all training packages" Why do the training institutes not agree with that comment?

"The question and answer is in the correct prescription topic
category" The prescriptions are like asking for an address and the answer is "its in wellington" Users that have been emailing us have been asking "why cant they be more specific?".

"The vocabulary used is relevant, clear and concise" OK, I think I wont comment on this one.

"Marks awarded are fair and reflect the required knowledge in
the answer." after reading some of the experiences on this forum I would have to disagree. Sorry PGDB

Exam results will be sent out on the 31st, We look forward to hearing your experiences!

craftsman exams should be oral especially the common,it keeps costing us because we word it differently to what they want,even using what's in the correspondence doesn't always get you the mark(s) you need!why do they want us to fail,i know they got to make it hard,our industry is huge and do you walk into the exam being an installer trying to become a craftsman and answer the questions or do i walk in thinking I'm a craftsman and answer the questions that way?i find it hard to study let alone find the time.i studied really good for the common exam better than i did for registration, i even felt confident when i walked out........?
