hey everyone just a reminder you need to go to the boards website and fill in the act implementation quest ions as this is the last time we may be able to try to control the future of our industry.
Its like voting it doesn't take long but have your say
i hope everyones exams went well and we all get the results we deserve
merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year :)

hi, I for one will not be filling in any more questionnaires of the boards. I have had my say and have sent numerous letters to the board and M.P.s over the last few years to no avail and negative replies. If you think that we will be taken notice off by filling in a form you are dreaming. The questionnaire is a token gesture THAT WE HAVE PAID FOR and has only been implemented to make it look like we are included in decision making. The changes that will take place have already been made, they will only be changed in a few years time when the govt realises just how unworkable they were with probably another sacking of the board and start all over again, by then a good portion of good tradesmen will have left the trades.

Hi, yes you are right but we have had these questionnaires before that we never see the result of only the board’s opinion of the forms that were actually sent in. like a govt referendum the board is under no obligation to take any notice of the survey, so what is the point? I believe that a vote of no confidence by way of nobody filling in the form would do more than actually everybody complying. Of course apathy in the past has always carried the day for the board with a very low return which is taken as a vote for the board, but either way we cannot win. It will be very interesting to see how far the board goes before the govt see it for what it is, i did see that licencing had dropped by over 3000 from 2008/09 to june 2009/10 so it seems that some of us are voting with our feet, cheers.
