Its about time we plumbers stood up for our rights and stopped the jobs for the boys that keep us in a poorly paid profession here's some thought provoking ideas

1)get rid of the plumbers board and the hangers on

2)stop the craftsman system it stops free trade and keeps plumbers employed when they could start there own businesses

3)why do plumbers have to do a craftsman exam to run a plumbing business when electricians and builders and other trades don't have to do a craftsman business exam is this not unfair.

4)do you find that most craftsman are old and just earning there pension from the young plumbers or handymen or untrained persons.

5)are the craftsmen well trained or lacking ongoing training.

6)is the ongoing gas safety training good

so please come back and tell me your thoughts and don't forget tell the NATIONAL PARTY J KEY & MAURICE WILLIAMSON.

hi guys, you think you are doing it hard, what about this guy!!! he has recently arrived from overseas.
My hubby had no plumbing experience whatsoever and has been attempting to get qualified through a 3 year apprenticeship programme through the Apprentice Training Trust.

He gets $12 an hour, plus a 65c tool allowance. He has to work on his own, with phone support if he gets stuck. The householder pays $65 plus call out, It sucks.

He has been trying to pass his registration exam; however, we have just got the news last night that he's failed again and needs to re-sit in April.
