Kids these days don't know how to choose a profession. They all want to be college educated, but so many only get the debt and a useless diploma out of it.

Not sure if I would be a plumber if I was offered a redo of my life. Despite recent reports, tradies do not earn as much as varsity educated people in my experience, tradies work physically really hard and their bodies give up long before the desk sitters, we dont get ACC even tho our jobs caused the issues - its called age related gradual damage. We are blamed for installing inferior products, yet shouldnt there be laws preventing their entry to the country? And the list can be added to I'm sure. Moan over.

Hi everyone. I believe the biggest problem is that we aren't united as an industry. If we could stand united we would be far better off financially and could push for change in all areas of the industry.

There is a good video of Mike Rowe addressing the chamber of commerce about the up coming Skills gap, this provides some awareness of these issues.

And Wal is right ''United we stand Divided we fall" so lets get together and collectively we can do something about it!
