Hi, all,
I try to find the latest version of AS/NZS 5601.1 (I believe is 2013 version,) on clearance of twin 45kg LPG cylinders in residential home. My house designer didn't know the rule and now gas fitter wants to close garage windows. Can someone tell me if the minimum clearance from top of cylinder to the opening is 150mm or 1500mm?
Really want to keep my garage winders if meet the code of practice.

Minimum distances are 150mm for a exchange cylinder or 500mm for a In-situ fill

Page 242 of AS/NZS 5601.1/2013

Unless there is a source of ignition present then the clearances change

Your gas fitter will probably be correct

Cylinder is 1500mm away from electricity meter board on the wall. I think, it is only  required to have 150mm clearance between the opening of window and top of cylinder as it is exchange cylinder, not in-situ filling cylinder. I found the copy of AS/ANS 5601.1 and confirmed this number.
