Bring back the plague, well not yet we will stand by our industry where prevention is better than cure.

The Black Death arrived in Europe by sea in October 1347 and 20 million people in Europe–almost one-third of the continent’s population died.
You may well ask what's this has got to do with us - well a lot when you look at the direct link we as tradespeople play in the health and safety of the public, the value we place on ourselves and the value others place on our skills and knowledge.

Give us your comments as they are always welcome.

hi guy.
..
The Plumbers.Gasfitters.Drainlayers Board. A.K.A. P.G.D.Board. are appointed to ensure the Health & Safety of New Zealanders.  Question:- How did they help prevent this situation?
Answer:-They did not help at all, they only ever help themselves.
Legionnaire’s disease from hot water cylinder results in amputations
Two people in Hawke's Bay have contracted Legionnaires disease from water in their own homes with one so badly afflicted she has had her feet amputated.

Here is a copy of a schematic supplied to the Board many times, a copy of the electronic cert for the property and copies of the many times I have told the Board about this system.

The owner didn't care when I told him.

Wouldn't the Board at least want to check this place out and make sure it is not going to hurt someone.

But I suppose if you can face a charge for a near fatal explosion, but this same charge can "disappear" before you go to your hearing, in the face of most, if not all the evidence pointing to (at least ) a heavy involvement in all the actions leading up to that explosion...... talk about Teflon.....
