hi guys,..New Board member Richard Merrifield speaks about his commitment, strengths, industry view and where he sees the biggest challenges.
 
“I feel that CPD is the way to up skill the sector in this area. Technology developments have to be monitored closely as these will affect the way we build in the future, and will change our trade practises at an ever increasing speed.”
Richard also believes it is a privilege(after serving a 5yr apprenticeship and clocking up many years of experience i believe that it is a RIGHT)to hold a license in the construction industry.
“To be asked(forced) to pay a few(several) hundred dollars a year to enable(buy the right) us to work in the trade we enjoy, gives peace of mind to competent qualified, licensed practitioners. (A simplistic opinion)

just another knob , is he a { those who are unable,won't or don't do sell or inspect } ex plumber or not even that? they are all tarred with the same brush. apprentiships and trade cert become more meaningless by the day
