i really think some should do something about the sale of products that simply should not be advertised to the public and this is a classic case!

selling gas regulators on trade me so the public can have a go at that hook up to the new infinity they just bought off Trade me!! them selves !! >:( >:( >:(
this is the kind of thing that the board should be stopping !!

It is unlikely that the Board will do anything about this because it would take funds away from persecuting actual plumbers. Even tho the company address is there for everyone to see, the Board will claim they couldn't find the outlet or something equally as stupid.

More to the point, have any westie plumbers been called to deal with one of those pan connectors? They look so frail, I can imagine a good session would split the plastic!

The public are being marketed more and more by online stores like this and big box stores like mega/bunnings to do some kiwi diy all the time. Its like how sex is marketed, its everywhere as is this sort of thing. People are being encouraged to do everything themselves, and as Leo says save many $$$$, do yourself etc etc.

I think its discussing that nothing can be done to stop this junk being imported. :(
