Hi,
I have a Main pressure 180L HWC it sits on a trip tray with a 40mm PVC drain.
Can the valves (temperature pressure relief, expansion control) drain onto the drip tray then across the tray to the drain? or do the valves have drain directly into the PVC with a small air gap?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Robbo,
I'm not sure why it sits on a tray... the tray is the same as in the picture in this link: http://aqualine.co.nz/product/cylinder-tray-580mm-dia
The HWC is fixed high up (~3 meters) on the wall of a warehouse.
I can see that if i drain to the drip tray there would need to be a lot of water in the tray before it flows out the drain, unless i drill some small holes where the PVC drain screws to the drip tray.

hi,jr, yes not a good idea to let the cyl sit in water, should probably sit on wooden battens anyway. the drain/drains should run to a gully and not cause a nuisance so you have to consider wheather it would discharge at a high level if you run it into the 40mm tray drain pipe, thats my 2c worth i`m sure others on the forum could also give advice, cheers
