Title: Nov 2013 licence exam
Post by: bugman on November 16, 2013, 01:30:13 PM
What did you guys think. I thought it was way harder than the June one, I mean who the f**** knows what a venturi was{hardy anyone in the  Auckland test}
No questions about air-con{which I studied heaps} and only one for maths
On a sour note I saw at least three people using there phones in the test .I will be pissed if they pass and I don't

hi guys/Bugman, (I mean who the f**** knows what a venturi was) sorry you did not know what this was but i would imagine that anyone who has fitted a `methven`shower mixer would know. It`s that red or blue `venturi`tube that enables the high pressure cold to suck the low pressure hot out giving the hop a bit more flow, it`s the bit you take out if you are on high pressure hot,cheers

Mrs W here; I would be making a complaint about the phones. Every exam my husband has sat, the phones had to be handed in - even when I was due to have a baby that day. Mr Wombles was very stressed that day!

Big congratulations to you!!   I'm very happy to say the two lads that sat the exam from our company also passed - one at 63% and one at 87.5%.

75% is a good mark - you can be proud of yourself.  Enjoy your weekend!

"The water temp of a shower fluctuates during use give two reasons

my answers were
faulty tempering valve
faulty shower mixer
and I got both wrong, apart from maybe someone using the water while you are showering{which I thought was silly} was else could it be

If the diffuser on the hwc inlet is missing incoming cold water could disturb the layers (stratification) causing temperature fluctuation during a shower.
