Title: vent height for a 7.6m prv?
Post by: roberto on July 01, 2013, 07:38:36 PM
hi guys,

I have a tank on my roof and I want to increase the Pressure/flow, I'm thinking about replacing the tank with a 7.6m Reducing valve,

I was wondering how high can I have the vent?, it is open vented (have a wetback so cant put a relief valve on,  I will lag the vent and tie it down if needed,

Is it depending how high or where the Reducing valve is situated?, if possible I will put the Reducing valve under the floor directly off the main after a 3 in 1.

cheers

hi roberto, you will need 7.6mtrs of water pressure above the prv to shut it off, if you can`t get that you can just reduce pressure untill open vent has stopped running, cheers
