Hi there was a ridgid  clay cutter on trade me for around $ 800 a couple of weeks ago worth checking expired listings.

I use one that was originally designed for cutting cast iron pipe works  great on clay but hard to get into tight places as its  about 4 feet long. dont rotate to cut just set the chain untill tight on the pipe and squeeze a bit tighter and ' ping' your done, got to be careful as the edges are as sharp as broken glass!

the cheap dry cutting diamond blades they sell at mitre 10 on a angle grinder work well just need a R.C.D and no guard on the grinder.

Might be worth searching for cast iron pipe cutter.

Best of luck.

there is a couple of auction lots on trade me that include pipe cutters
turners auctions big lot in dunners
listing no's ;660 5304 99 and 660 5466 76

you should be able to get these at a good price and sell anything that is no good to you, perhaps here on the selling part of the forum.

you will have to bite the bullet on freight but look around as prices vary considerably

best of luck.

LMC stand for littlemining.co.nz we do kids mining, and geode cracking etc,

Sadly very hard to find thing like that in Nz so we import 99% of our gems and fossils

Interesting so now theres three uses for a cast iron pipe cutter.
I dont know for sure but if you could get the chain then if you have an engineer freind then perhaps fabricate up something that would do it. i have a mate who loves making things that arent worth making just to see if it can be done.... i am carefull not to bother him too much!
Otherwise the best thing is to keep looking on trde me, they arent the most sort after item usually. I will keep you posted if i see one.
