I must say in watching the debate I got pretty wild, If you actually watch the parties for the bill none of them have done any research into it at all and are in fact only trying to make themselves feel ok about passing a retrospective bill which is wrong on all levels!!
Have a new respect for Brendon Horan his input was great.
Maybe to create comsumer awareness we need to add a seperate item to all invoices that reads something like

item                                                                                                               Cost
the PGDB incompetency and get out of jail free fund.                                         $100

Sorry client this is because we are made to pay over 2 as much as any other trade in order to be registered therefore we must pass this cost on.

did I mention that when I was Oz a few years back I registered with the NT plumbers board and it cost only $60 and last for 3 years!!

o2b007 - I think you will find that Brendan Horan's input was so great because he and his people have spent some time talking to Wal - and understanding the true picture and reading the information that the Federation has amassed over the last couple of years from OIA requests etc.  He wanted to understand - and he put in the time.   I think he did an outstanding job researching what the situation was.  Good on him!

I was also impressed by Brendan's (and teams) efforts. A big well done
