Title: On Line Courses
Post by: wombles on March 12, 2013, 02:04:32 PM
Has anyone done any of these. NOt sure what others think but who the hell approves these courses? A blind retarded brick could have completed the course I did with 100% no trouble. It was unbelievable easy. A mixture of in person courses and online and I have learned nothing except that the turkeys that take the courses are richer than me. I'm down many $$ and up nothing. Nothing learned at all.

The Rinnai courses around gasfitting are very good - two of my drainlayers did one on Erosion - value for points (i.e. $100 for I think 12 points good) knowledge gained - zip - they did not learn anything new.

Essentially it comes down to if you are buying points then some of them are good value for money - if you are seeking knowledge, e.g. wanting to upskill - then look hard for those that will deliver.  The Rinnai one is the only course that I have had good feedback about with regards to new knowledge gained (and it is worth noting that they were doing courses long before points became involved and so are interested in teaching the gasfitters a thing or two to make them better installers of their products).
