hi guys, with the boards popularity do you think that they have security gaurds for personal safety, do you think that they need them? cheers

sign of things to come?

I think it is:
12 points for one licence
20 for two licences
24 for three
You need to get TWO year's worth of points before 1 April 2013 (they gave two years, but some people only think they need to get one year's worth of points - they are wrong) - so with 24 points you will be good to go - i.e. 2 years worth of 12 points!
Re-send the email for your password - then you can see all sorts of things and change your personal details too.
The Road Show will be most interesting - they give a lot of information in the background documentation - but not much about what cost savings they have tried to make - like shifting from the golden mile in Wellington to cheaper accommodation on the fringes of the city, laying off some of the legal staff - pay cuts or at least a freeze on salaries etc. It looks to me like they are giving you jack shit choice - they need to recoup $300k plus from the disappearance of gas cert sales. I would love to see the sophisticated model the accountants used - so sophisticated ordinary plumbers and gasfitters will never understand it (at least I bet that was the plan). It really is important that everyone turn up and have their say. A small increase next year is on TOP of some pretty big increases in recent years - memorandum accounts should have been implemented years ago and then we could really see where the discipline levy has been used and what was left over.

.....The very funny thing is that THIS YEAR(2012) is my FIRST year of being licensed SO i donot require 2 years worth of points do I????????...I should only be required to provide one years worth of points...is this correct???...because if that is the case then i can roll the non technical points over to next years points cant I???
-
If it is your first year then you do only need 12 and I think from memory you can carry up to 8 over. So four go south. Once you get your password all of this should be revealed as you get to enter the secret world of the PGDB with all your account, licensing, supervision notes etc. When did you pass your registratione xam? I thought you got 16 points for the first year that you sat your registration exam as well?
-
I stand corrected - just checked and the carry over is:
What happens if I obtain more points than I need?
As 8 technical points are required each licence year, points carried forward become non technical. A maximum of 4 points can be carried forward to the following licence year.
If you go to trade section of www.pgdb.co.nz and then go into CPD all your questions will be answered.
