Title: Plumbing Franchises
Post by: Jaxcat on August 06, 2012, 11:04:12 AM
How thorough a check do these franchises do to ensure the people they have operating them are properly licensed.  Does anyone know?  Anyone know how Blue Cross operate as a franchise and how thorough they are?

Jax, i guess anyone can own a franchised company whether they are licenced or not but why not make a few inquiries to Blue Cross to find out, cheers

They don't seem too phased to hear that they have sold a franchise to a "plumber" who is driving around in a van, advertising himself as a plumber, but has no licence, no exemption no nothing.  Have informed customer that we got called to that they can lay a complaint with the PGDB.  I am just astounded that they appear to do NO checking - nothing even as basic as visiting the pgdb website that takes, what, all of two seconds?

I just wondered if anyone on here had anything to do with them, or had heard anything about them.

hi Jax, it`s all about `money` if they can sell a product that is their job done, `ching, ching` they would deem that the purchaser has the qualifications, in fact the purchaser may be qualified but has employed a non licenced guy to do the work, cheers
