Thought of the weekGoing on a CPD course doesn’t make you competent any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.

bloody cpd courses , master plumbers want $240.00 plus gst to attend applying and understanding the new gas standards ,that is if you are a member, double that if your not , this is on top of the $500.00 for the standards, when are these people going to learn that enough is enough , I am fed up with having to pay and pay to keep my licences , we cannot keep passing the costs on , surely if we can,t understand the new codes we should not be in the industry. Havent bought them yet , if anybody has what has significantly changed.

Wow that's a joke isnt it!!

So they are trying to sell a course to explain a document that is easier to use than the current system being explained by someone who themselves have not had the code for very long? and charging for it!! oh how I love the master plumbers!! you only have to look at there past history of presidents to see theres something seriously wrong with that organisation.

buy the standard and read it yourself, done...lol. i didnt need master plumbers to help me learn as/nzs 3500 parts 0-4, sure as hell wont need them for this one either. who do they think they are? They think they are the masters of all plumbers of course. Typical business intent to cash in. pffft

CPD cost and avalibity are going to be an issue  for me  let alone the time off work and travel and accomadation cost involved if you live in our less populated/serviced areas.
$30 plus per credit for non members Trapping & venting sanitary plumbing systems. Worth 12 credits from master plumbers here.
Gain an understanding on why to trap and vent, how traps fail, installation of traps,
ventilation options for fixtures, diffrent options including vents for stacks systems, air admittance valves and instalation, relife vents and the requirements of AS/NZS 3500.2

Sound familar anyone? seems the 6k i spent on training and the unit standards i have attained and the passing of the plumbers reg exam mean i dont know my onions.........

Perhaps the fedaration should look at doing a online cpd course?
Any one have an idear on how much it would cost to put somthing like this together?
