arnt you sposed to be able to unscrew the guts out of the apex one and just replace the guts without having to remove the housing...or is that just on there latest ones?...

im not too sure, have never had to repair one, just install them brand new, im pretty sure water isnt ment to be coming out from where the screw is though!!!

yes you can just replace the guts - but for what its worth I have always replaced the whole valve

the reason I asked was because I have only had to replace Apex ones - seems they are a fragile piece and do not like poor water quality/conditions or cooler climates

I have always sent it back to merchant/supplier and had them replace it as a warranty/quality issue
