a question - if one cpd point is equivalent to 4 hrs training, how the hell can Mico's with RMC sponsorship get away with having a free cpd night giving away 16 cpd points for 3hrs of ya time?!? how can this fly with the board?!?   the whole f n thing is a crock of .....

on the topic of this - if previous boards have been fired over the years and the industry doesn't want cpd who does that leave to push it?!?

master plumbers?
ito?
suppliers?

all of the above I say

The electrical model of cpd is the one they should follow this model should be applied to all trades...why the hell do those d**kheads at the board feel the need to bloody reinvent the wheel...ooh yea thats right they have insider intrests!, Cpd is not a bad thing as long as it does not impose undue costs on the industry...just look at what has happned to the councils around the country with the govt finally stepping in and saying they have to contain there redicouls rates rise eyery year 7% on average for ten years!...well its about time the govt stepped in and did the same bloody thing with the board...we cant sustain this ever increasing drive to strip us of our hard earned money...Were a two man crew my boss and me and were struggling at the moment im having to drop one and a half days pay a week just to keep my damb job and these pr**ks at the board have no real idea whats happening out here in the real world...i wonder how they would like to drop 1 1/2 days pay and try to feed a family and pay rent and all the assoiated bills! the govt need to step in and slap them with a wet towel and tell them to pull there damb heads in!!!

Hi Guys

The problem of CPD won't go away while we have such a large cross pollination of boards.

Have a look at the PGDB and then see how many of them are Master Plumbers and you will see where the self interest comes into it
