another jaw dropper!
« on: August 14, 2014, 07:42:33 AM »
Good morning all,
Yesterday i was delivered a Bosch water heater from a farmer who said it wouldn't go.

At first glance i could see what was the problem (forgot to take a picture for you all) the 1 m long gas hose with a qcc bbq regulator was connected to the water inlet connection and there was a hansen alk connecter hooked to the gas inlet !!!  :o

And there was evidence that the farmer had tried to make it go.... there was water dripping from the jets!

To make things worse i called the farmer to report what i had found and he claimed that a local plumbing supplies had  made up the gas hose and also connected it all up for him to take home for the dairy shed!!! >:(

i will be today visiting that said merchant and finding out if there is any truth to this.... watch this space.

Regards

After contacting the merchant in question it looks as if mr farmer is possibly not being straight up with me, the merchants claims that in no way would they have made up or assembled the said gas connection to the water heater. But they may have supplied the customer with the parts! ::)
i was not impressed and told the merchant so, reminding them of their responsibilities. :(

And this is how people get killed !

When will we see action on the supply of gas fittings to the public stopped? if ever? ::)

Which merchant was it?  We may as well name them - unless it is only speculation, but in this case looks like they owned up to selling the gear to the farmer.
