hi guys,  Last year the Board collected $4,490,238.00. Of that 49.99% was spent on administration, 6.11% was spent on governance, 21.49% was spent on registration, discipline and prosecutions, 16.5% was held in reserves and 5.89% was spent on people’s competence by way of examinations.
Well there you have it a `Headless Monster`out of control, it needs to be stopped, cheers

Excellent point about the Kapiti couple , it was stated in the news item that they were told by the person who carried out the plumbing he was not a registered plumber,  I  know its rubbing salt into the wound , but if they were prosecuted as well it would send a clear message to the public , They were hoping to get some insurance from the guy , I dont think any insurance company would payout if he was working outside his capabilities.

Its funny how when things go wrong the public look for all the help they can get from government agencies etc but plead ignorant to their responsibilities to avoid such situations as they have found themselves in , I dont mean to be heartless  , but that is the reality.
The board should use the opportunity to remind the public what can happen

It was good it was front page news so some people would have got the message.

Yes and while not pointing the finger one wonders how much cheaper he was than the "real deal"...  The guy deserves to get done like a dinner, but then if the public are going for cheap, cheap, cheap, then they get what they deserve...
